Questions People Usually Ask
We've been doing this long enough to know what's on your mind before the first meeting. Here's what most folks want to know upfront.
Nope. Initial consultations are on us - usually takes about 30 minutes. We'll chat about what you're facing, and honestly tell you if we're the right fit. No pressure, no charge. If we move forward together, we'll be totally transparent about costs before any real work starts.
We typically respond within 4-6 hours during business days. If it's genuinely urgent, mark it that way in the form and we'll bump you up. We get that legal issues don't always happen 9-to-5, so if something's really time-sensitive, give us a call directly.
Whatever you've got that's relevant. Contracts, emails, corporate docs, notes you've taken - don't stress about organizing it perfectly. We'll figure out what we need together. If you're coming in person, we've got coffee and a conference room. Virtual works just as well if that's easier for you.
Absolutely. We work with clients across Ontario and beyond. Most corporate work doesn't require us to be in the same city anyway. We're set up for video consultations, secure document sharing, all that. If court appearances are needed somewhere specific, we've got a network we trust.
That's totally normal - legal stuff overlaps in weird ways. Just tell us what's happening with your business and we'll help you figure out what type of help makes sense. Sometimes a contract issue turns into an IP matter, or compliance work leads to corporate restructuring. We'll sort it out together.
We work with both. Startups often need help with incorporation, founder agreements, early-stage contracts - we get it and we've been there. Established businesses usually come to us for more complex stuff like M&A, disputes, or ongoing compliance. Your company's age matters less than whether we can actually help with what you need.
Yes, full stop. Solicitor-client privilege covers our conversations from the moment you reach out. Whether we end up working together or not, what you share stays private. It's not just ethics - it's the law, and we take it seriously.
