Building something meaningful in corporate law takes more than just reading textbooks and passing the bar. It takes real experience, honest relationships, and a genuine commitment to getting it right.
Started out with three lawyers and a pretty ambitious vision - we wanted to do corporate law differently. Less stuffy boardroom talk, more real conversations about what businesses actually need.
Expanded our litigation practice after successfully handling some pretty complex commercial disputes. Turns out companies appreciated having lawyers who could explain strategy without drowning them in legalese.
Opened our Bay Street office and brought on specialists in M&A and IP protection. The team grew to 25 professionals who actually enjoy working together - which isn't always a given in this field.
Today we're proud to work with over 200 clients across Canada, from scrappy startups to established enterprises. We've stayed true to that original vision - making corporate law accessible and actually helpful.
"We exist to make corporate law less intimidating and more useful. When businesses succeed because they had the right legal guidance at the right time, that's when we know we're doing our job properly. It's not about winning awards or being fancy - it's about being there when our clients need us and delivering work that actually matters."
